Reconnecting After Stroke — A Client’s Healing Journey
The client had suffered a stroke in 2023, and from that moment her life changed. She lost sensation down her entire left side, especially in her left arm and hand. When she first came to my clinic, her arms and legs were covered with painful lumps — most noticeably on the left side, where her body had stopped communicating properly with her brain.
Because she had little sensation on that side, I was able to work deeply and gently to release the large, congested, painful lumps in her tissues — particularly in her left arm and hand. Something remarkable happened after that first treatment: her sensation started to return.
As the feeling came back, we could see more clearly what her body was holding. The photo shows how stiff her thumb joints were — almost “jammed” with built-up waste and stagnation. After treatment, her fingers became noticeably softer and more flexible, and her hand began to move more freely again.
She is getting better and stronger. Not just physically — but emotionally too. Watching her reconnect with her body has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my work.
